D1 – Forfar in full swing for Orange the World

D1 – Forfar in full swing for Orange the World

On Day 1 of the official campaign members were invited to Strathmore School in the town to enjoy a coffee morning and orange treats.  The Headteacher, Jenniger Garnes, the Inner Wheel Secretary of the Montrose club , her staff and the pupils gave us a very warm welcome and had gone the extra mile in decorating the hall with Orange the World items and decorations.
The pupils were the stars of the show and served the ladies very well with teas and coffees as well as homemade orange cupcakes.  We were joined for this lovely event by members of 2 neighbouring clubs – Montrose and Laurencekirk & District as well as Angus Provost, Craig Fotheringham.
A fabulous event – a delight to be there !

After this some of the members walked along to the Reid Park and enjoyed a short walk in the crisp winter sunshine.

The campaign continues in the town as posters and leaflets have been distributed to local businesses and meeting centres centers to raise awareness.

Forfar Rotary have endorsed the campaign on their social postings.
